So a while back my laptops gpu died and when serviced, my laptop came back with the gpu chip and Intel HD graphics onboard. I don't really know much about laptops, but I was thinking if it was possible to put a working HD 7600M back or even upgrade to a better gpu. I would buy a new computer, but right now I'm really low on budget so this is my only option.

They just put a new motherboard in there. The 7600m series is always soldered onto the motherboard. Upgrading a laptop gpu is only possible in very few cases and is insanly expensive. Just leave it since it's not possible for you and save your money.
