Replacing Hard Drive on Sony Vaio

my computer crash so i installed new hard drive and i like to install new os but i have a constant erorr "no operating system found "and disc with new windows can't be install what i can do to install new os...thanks

BOOT from cd (in bios) then put in recovery disc and install...
