Replacing screens without fear

I want to replace the screen on my aspire (acer) with that of an HP pavilion... I understand the risks and would hold no one but myself to blame for ruining two already ruined laptops. It may come in quite handy if successful and we'll be a lot of fun for me either way.

Go for it! I don't actually know how to change them but I thought I'd offer some wise words. What could go wrong am I right? Haha.

Hi, before you start, what is the model of Acer Aspire do you have? And what model of HP Pavilion do you have? If the screens are not compatible, the HP screen will not work with Acer.

Correct. There is a super good chance the mounting hole don't even line up. I'm sure there are youtube videos showing how to take both laptops apart. But because laptops are proprietary I'm 95% sure you can't just swap them over.
