The company Sent out an E-mail today which describes it

If you already have multiple uints at the same billing address/account
they should auto-update to the new program

In addition they are offering a rebate on activated uints

Refurbs are now fifty bucks after rebate

It's over. Last week at replay.com. The deal hit fatwallet.com and sold out
in minutes.

I missed it too.

The "deal" WAS 49.99 and still is. They are just sold out. The deal
included free shipping, but shipping is extra now. The stampede was
because of a coupon code that gave $20 off ($29.95). I bought 3@$29.95
plus free shipping. :)

You also must check replaytvoutlet.com as well as replaytv.com. Though
both are DNNA, they are different locations and sometimes one has stock
and not the other.

Well, the fifty dollar rebate is on the low end models and can be read
about at the logical url http://www.replaytv.com (Where else, the
product home page)

If you want to get a fifty dollar (plus activation) 5040 then

http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/shop/_templates/item_mainRTV.asp?model=253&cat=51

Send 99, get fifty back, 49 total

I had looked there and that rebate is on the 5500 series.

Except that this link is to the 5504 not the 5040. I'm definitely
interested in a 5040.

I find it interesting that they want more for a refurb 4500 than a new 5500.

The 5500 might be a good candidate for the chip transplant. Trick it into
thinking it is a 5000 and you get IVS/CA back ;-)

That was on NEW 5540s. The $50 deal everybody wants was refurb 5040s.
