Nope... the phone still sucks. The keyboard is essentially useless the keys are so small! I'm sticking with my Blackberry!

Awwww. I got one at full price. Oh well, I still like mine, and this is nothing compared to the $200 drop that iPhone buyers got screwed by.

I'd love to get one but still have 10 months on my current contract with my yucky instinct. Maybe by then version 2 will be out and they will have addressed a few things that I don't like about the current model of Pre.

The thing that still burns me is the mail in rebate. I don't care if the phone is $149- the main issue is still the mail in rebate. Ridiculous. Popular iPhone, Blackberry models don't require mail in rebates, why should the Pre?

Want a true promo? Drop the mail in rebate and save potential customers the hassle! Albeit, this price drop is only for a limited time as it stands.

It can't compete with the iPhone, so it's logical to do a price drop. Frankly, it should have been done at launch.

The price of the phone is negligible compared to the prices of the plans. What does a data plan for one of these cost? $60/month? $60 *24mo. = $1440 for two years of cell phone service. That's insane. I'm happy being part of a family plan. My mother has her work pay for the main line, then it's just $15/mo for my phone. It's not worth it for me to spend $540 a year just to have the internet on my cellphone. If i need to know who played Wesley in The Princess Bride, I'll wait until I'm near a computer, thanks.
