I've already have checked poopli, and there are a couple offerings. One has
deleted it although it still is displayed on the site, and the others are
backed up with requests. HBO isn't displaying when it will shown again, and
I was hoping that someone still had the first episode.

Replay unit is a 4xxx

Did you forget to check the binaries newsgroups? They have a lot of
shows, that can be downloaded at your download speed rather than
someone else's upload speed.

Which Binaries groups do 'you' typically look at for stuff like this?

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I found lots of binary related newsgroups, and I did find one devoted to the
general category of TV (alt.binaries.tv). It was an extremely large group,
but I wasn't able to find the program that I was looking for in there. I'm
not sure that I was even looking in the correct group, and there are a ton
of questions that I have about getting a program this way. I'm not sure what
program is used to re-piece the many segments together. I'm guessing that I
would have to watch the program on the computer, unless I convert it into
the correct format and then burn it to a blank DVD.

All of this seems very interesting, but what I was really hoping for, was
the quick and simple approach of making a Replay request and then having it
beamed into my unit.

It would help to have a usenet-wide search.

Your newsreader (Outlook Express is definately NOT the best here) will
combine the individual parts. Agent (http://www.forteinc.com/) is a
good program. This usually gives several .RAR files, combine with
WinRAR (http://www.rararchiver.com/download.asp).

That;s what ?I do (DVD or VCD). You a -RW disk if you just want to
watch once.

Mark,
Thank you very much for the information on searching the newsgroups, and how
to download the binary files. I'll try both suggestions, shortly. It sounds
like it should be something to learn, in case I ever need to do it.
