Reset bios password Dell Inspiring 1525

I forgot my password after a seizure and a stroke waiting on surgery but need to get in.It has locked the bios I have been all over the Internet on my phone looking for fix none work so far.can't identify battery or jumpers I keep hearing about and not savvy on using backdoor password front service tag.Can't afford new one or repair on disability til recover from surgeries upcoming.any help greatly appreciated

Hi

There are usually 3 passwords on Dell laptops
Admin password keeping you out of bios
User password stopping boot up and any use of laptop

Hard disk password stopping use of hard drive in laptop or any other PC
This can only be over come by erase format ata command

Windows password can easily be cleared ( unless windows encryption is enabled)


If you can't boot up you can't run the software which erases password on eeprom

If you contact a Dell or laptop specialist they should be able to help you provided you have evidence of ownership

If you purchased direct from Dell owners details are available to Dell

This forum does not allow any direct advice on removing any sort of password protection
