Rig 500 Lava mic issues

I have a Dell Inspiron n5050. I bought a RIG 500 Lava headset for my ps4 and to use on my PC for Skype. The headset uses a 3.5mm jack and came with a splitter. It wont work on my laptop. Help please. There are no drvers for it and the internal mic works fine.

Hi,

If it has a splitter cable just make sure first it's connect properly in both the Headset and Mic port.
- Check if your microphone is listed normally.
- Right click on the speaker icon and select Recording Device.
- If your RIG 500 Lava headset is listed right click on it and select Set Default.
- Click Apply and OK then test it again.
- If all these will not work do uninstall/reinstall the sound card driver as well in Device Manager.
