My laptop which I got a few months ago is now running at extremely low speeds. It was working fine a few weeks ago but just started going haywire. At first the fans started running at the highest speed possible as soon as the computer is turned on then the cpu performance capped itself at 396MHz. I completely reset windows and the problem still persists.
I believe its a problem with the bios because the cpu is registering at 110c when absolutely nothing is happening but only in bios. In armoury crate and other apps it shows the cpu at ~40c (its so cold because the fans are always running at max). I would take it in to be repaired but I can't afford to not have my computer for the next few weeks.
