ROKU 3 and SDTV?

Will the newest Roku 3 work with my SDTV ? My TV does have an HDMI port.
I have one of the very first Rokus hooked up now, but I'd like to get the new Roku so
I will have YouTube and for Voice search on the remote.

I cannot find an answer anywhere. Yes, the Roku 3 "says" it's for HDTVs but it doesn't say that it cannot/will not work with SDTV.

If your TV has HDMI it should work. The Roku will detect the SD resolution and scale the output. It does the same thing on a 720p HD TV with a 1080p source. Make sure you can return it just in case.
