Roku Express+ video not recording on DMR-ES25

I have a Roku Express+ connected to my DMR-ES25 DVD recorder. Audio records find, but video recording does not begin until about 30 minutes into the program. Sometimes video never begins. Is this a Roku problem, a DVD recorder problem, or maybe just a bad cable?

When I switch the input source on my TV to the DVD recorder (while recording) the audio and video work, but video is not recorded to the DVD RW in the DVD recorder. Does this mean the problem lies with the DVD recorder rather than the cable or Roku?

My candidate for the problem is the DVD recorder. Since switching the input of the TV to the DVD recorder shows a good signal.

Yep. That sounds right even though the people at Panasonic claim it's a Roku problem.
