Hey everyone,

If all goes well I will order myself a Samsung S27A850D tomorrow. It has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 which should be awesome for my 3D animation/editing work.

My only concern is how much of a performance hit I will experience when working in the Max 2012 viewports at this high res.

Can anyone give me an idea of how well nitrous will cope under the load of a 1440p display?

GPU: GTX 580 3GB
CPU: 17 860 (soon to be overclocked)
16GB DDR3 RAM
& this software installed on a M4 256GB SSD.

BTW: Don't worry about game performance, I know already that to get great fps with high settings at
2560 x 1440 I will probably need another 580.

Thanks peoples!

UPDATE: Bought the Samsung, it's great and still performs well in Max at 1440p.

I would recommend an upgrade of this nature to any serious artist or technician wishing to enhance productivity and the design process.
