S.M.A.R.T Status Shows Bad Despite Recent Hard drive Replacement

Hi I recently had a problem where my ASUS X555LA laptop would boot into the Aptio Setup Utility page and it would not boot into my OS. I opened up my laptop and there didn't seem to be any problems with the connections prompting me to believe there was a problem with my HDD. I showed a technician who also said I should change my HDD. I bought an SHDD and installed it to success but when I turn my computer on every so often, I am given a message telling me that S.M.A.R.T has detected a bad drive. What should I do?
By the way I'm running Windows 10 and the SHDD is called Seagate FireCuda 2.5" Internal Drive.
Any conclusions or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

How can I be sure this isn't just a problem with my computer? Is there any way to check the S.M.A.R.T status of my computer while logged into the OS?
