On my LG 4500 phone I have software version T45VZV01 and PRL50175. I
understand there is a newer software version out. Does anyone know the
changes made between the versions? Is it recommended that I go to the
Verizon store and have my phone flashed with the newer software? Thanks!

My opinion based on personal experience is that if your phone has no
problems and all the features are working, leave it alone.

Flashing the software could fry the phone.
