I am running an air-cooled XP2000+ on GBGA7VRXP. What is a "safe" Vcore range and temp limit for this setup, I am currently benchmarking fine at 1800Mhz, but anything more than that gets unstable on air. I have bumped the VCore, and the system gets stable again.

So, now back to stepping up the FSB. My question is, an what point (Vcore and Temp) do I say enough is enough? Dont wanna fry my [-peep-].

This chip is LOCKED, I will unlock it soon dont have conductive epoxy as yet. Should I wait until I unlock it to continue?

With temps ypu don't stay at or above 65C constantly, this can degrade the life of yer CPU. So try to keep it under at or 65C under load. As for the FSB you can go as high as you can until it won't boot anymore - just clear the CMOS and go lower. With the vcore everyone differs on this, but a safe everyday vcore without damaging the CPU shouldn't be any higher than 1.875V. In my opinion, 1.825 should bring you all the stability needed when extreme OC'ing, possibly 1.85V. Anything higher than the default starts to heat things up and can lead to degrading your silicion. I guess when trying to max out going to 1.9V just to take a screenshot of WCPUID is okay, but everyday use at high voltages isn't any good at all.

My 1700+ runs at 152 (XP2000+) with a VCORE of 1.825 stable, but since I like to keep things more than safe I have it at 145FSB (XP1900+) with a vcore of only 1.775V and it's a fast stable mofo ) The DDR290 purrrrssss.

I'm running the 7VRXP with an XP2100+ and it locks up after 5-10 minutes. BIOS shows temp stable at 60c. Tried replacing memory and video and same thing happens. I can run at 1500+ speed and won't lock but this board says it supports the 2100+. Any ideas?
