Sager 8153 Laptop Brightness Settings not Changeable in Windows 10

Hello,

I recently got the Sager 8153-S laptop from GentechPC. After installing Windows 10 and all of the drivers, I notice that the brightness controls do not work. If I use the function keys on the laptop, it shows the brightness slider changing, but the actual screen brightness does not change. The same goes for any brightness controls in the operating system under power etc. You can change them, but it produces no actual changes on the laptop screen.

I've tried a bunch of things including reinstalling drivers, repairing the OS, changing the order in which I install the Intel and NVIDIA drivers, disabling and enabling Generic PnP monitor, but nothing seems to really work.

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

If this is a new laptop and anything isn't working correctly, you should contact the place of purchase as nothing 'new' should be malfunctioning.
