Hello, all I'm looking in buying a new laptop, and I've thought to made my decision on buying the sager laptop(I'll link below.) But then I seen this Force laptop with a 980m for the same price, and I'm really contemplating on getting the 980m over the Sager laptop.

The Sager laptop has a 970m, i'd get the IPS Screen (with G-Sync), also has the new skylake CPU + DDR4. Which would be $1350

This Force laptop has 4th gen i7 but with a 980m... But I won't get g-sync and won't have DDR4 ram.. This laptop would be $1395.

Force: http://www.xoticpc.com/force-msi-1781-221045-980m-msi-gt72-barebones-p-8111.html

What do you guys think is the better buy? I'm still leaning too the sager... But what are some other opinions?

Note: 10/22 - Guess xoticpc is moving servers, so there website is down.

I own a MSi GT72 with a 4710HQ and the 980m. The CPU is no slouch, and the GPU can be upgraded in the future (though it can output to a 1440p and still knock out ultra settings with very playable frame rates). Very nice machine, but know that the $1395 price doesn't include an OS. I don't see the 970m really cranking out enough consistently high frames to make GSync worth it. Just my opinion.

Ahh thank you for your opinion and reply. Yeah thats exactly why I'm actually thinking on getting this 980m. It really is tempting, And yeah I understand it doesn't come with a OS, The Sager doesn't come with one either. I have a 8.1 key.

Am I not understanding G-sync correct? Do you really need higher frames to benefit from it? Too my understanding, I thought it eliminates stutters, so even at 40ish fps it would still seem alot better then with v sync.
