Samsung 4th Generation DLP

Looking at the large Samsung DLP sets at the local store, I was told that
there is a new version (4th generation) of the light engine just out or
coming out soon. Is this expected to be a big jump in quality over the
current versions? Something to wait for in the big version?

I'm sure you are aware, Samsung has had problems with audio sink with video.
I had a set a year or so ago and it was a problem - returned the set. Bought
a Sony, and although there is still some minor sink issues, it's much better
than the Samsung was... you might want to be sure this is fixed in the 4th
generation.

I got an older one not too long ago (4663). I noticed there were sync
problems when using my A/V receiver until I enabled the audio mute on the
TV; then it worked fine. If you try to have audio coming out the TV (or
even just turned all the way down) and the receiver at the same time, there
is a delay. No problem for me, but if you try to use the TV as a center
speaker or something, it won't work.

Samsung's newest rear projection DLPs HL-P##74W series uses the newer
TI chip. However, the current versions HL-P##63W series has a 7
segment color wheel and spins at 10,800 rpm as opposed to the newer
series which has a 6 segment color wheel and only spins at 9,000rpm.
One would think the 7 segment color wheel that spins faster is better?
