Samsung dlp..no picture

Samsung dlp..no picture ..lamp green light blinking for sometime..goes on standby then again tries to turn on with lamp green light blinking..how can I be sure that replacing the lamp wil solve the problem...I had replaced the lamp 8 months ago..visually it looks ok..

my samsung dlp has no picture the lamp green light keeps blinking and then goes on standby for a few minutes and then again tries to turn on with the green lamp light blinking..keeps doing this over and over again.

How can I be sure that replacing the lamp with solve the issues..I replaced the lamp 8 months ago and visually it looks ok..
