Samsung galaxy s5 without data?

I bought a Samung Galaxy S5 and my boyfriend put it on his Verizon wireless plan. We recently broke up and he soon will be taking my phone off his Verizon plan. My question is, Will I be able to access my work related apps or any apps on my phone that I have previously installed while on his plan connected through the Internet at my home?

Your phone need only internet and when the internet is ON you dont need any Verizon or something. If your exboy get back his phone... don't be sad... Your apps and your contacts are synced to your Google ACC. When you connect your google acc to any another device you can easy download all of your apps.
Remember that only information on apps (like game saves ) will be gone if you lose the phone.
