Samsung GT-S6102 WIFI problems

My Samsung GT-S6102 smart phone can not connect to my Iprimus88C8 wireless Modem, it reports that it is out of range although I am right next to the modem.
The smartphone does however see other WiFi modems in the neighborhood, and it can connect to those with the correct password
My modem is set to 802.11b/g/n
Any help would be appreciated

Check inside the settings of your wireless modem, their is an option SSID broadcast. Find out that option is ticked or not. In settings you should broadcast the SSID, otherwise it won't show in any device.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that both my Dell Desktop, DELL Laptop and my Samsung TabS Tablet work fine with the WIFI, it is only my Samsung smart Phone that is delinquent
There is no SSID tick box in the Modem setup
Any help is appreciated
