The thick Main connector cable between the amplifier and the DVD player is damaged.
Model no: Samsung HT-TXQ120
How can I get a replacement?

Need to do a web search for it, maybe check eBay. From a search I did all I see are the speaker wires for sale. You may need to just replace this with something that uses more standard connections like HDMI.
