This article doesn't make sense. You are comparing a CDMA phone to a GSM phone, they are on completely different networks!

Most people who use smart phones, such as Treo's and Blackberry's, are on a CDMA network. And most of those people have been, and still are, reluctant to sign up for AT&T(yuck!) just to get an iPhone.

Samsung is offering an iPhone alternative, that does not require you to switch networks. That is a huge selling point, and it makes complete sense for Samsung to try and block the iPhone from launching solo, with the intent of dragging people over to GSM. Why is this not mentioned?

The fact that it's CDMA has me sold. I've been looking for something to replace my frustrating 6700, looks like this could be it. I won't switch from Sprint (SERO FTW!) so the iPhone has never been of interest to me (not to mention it's made by Apple). All I need to know now is how much it will cost with a new contract.
