As much as I liked it, it was def a source for water to get in despite the seal.
Eh, Samsung has had several waterproof phones with everything from microsd connectors to headphone jacks.
They should probably make the law to include "easily removable with common tools' or something so it doesn't have to be quick change.
They can just use rubber seals and make the back bolt on. It might even be cheaper to build. Just put a rubber band around the battery and drop it in without glue. Should be 0 cost change with no effect on build quality, size, or outside design.
