Samsung s2 wont charge

My samsung s2 will only charge enough to start up,then it stops charging and goes dead due to lack of battery. Have tried this many times now. What to do? I've tried different chargers, and also tried charging through my mac, which usually works as well.

It could be that the battery is stuffed, if you know someone with the same phone try their battery and see if it works.

Or, my old S2 used to be notorious for getting stuff/fluff in the charging jack, meaning the cable wouldn't fit properly. If this is the case get a pin or something to clean out the socket.
