Samsung series 7 gaming laptop- any chance of upgrading GFX card or processor?

Hi all I have a 3 year old Samsung series 7 gaming laptop which is pretty good but after 3 years is struggling to play the newest titles on higher settings. I play a lot of Elite dangerous and it has really good frame rates but only on medium settings, even at these settings planetary landings struggle to get more than 22 FPS.

I was wondering if possible could I upgrade the GFX card and/ or the processor? I know laptops aren't the easiest things to upgrade but I've heard about external GFX cards are these actually a real thing?

My current spec is as follows:

Windows 10 (64 bit)
16 gig ram
Intel i7-3630 QM CPU @2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 675M GFX card.

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't upgrade the graphics card of your laptop according to Samsung's support forums. Yes an external graphics card is true and yes you can use it with your laptop if you're planning on doing so.
