Samsung Smart TV Question

I just got a new Samsung Smart TV and I plugged in my DVD player and put in all the red / yellow / white cables in the right spot but I can't find the component / video channel its all just dtv air up to 69 dtv air channels ? The DVD player is working cause you can hear it. Please help.

The channel up and down would not usually access any of the inputs.
The composite video audio input you connected to would be selected on the remote. It might be labeled input or TV/Video.
Some TVs have a shared composite / component video input so you might have to go into the TV menu and select which type of signal you want the input to work with.
