samsung smart tv/yamaha 5.1 audio system compatability

my sound bar died so looking at a yamaha 5.1 system. the sound bar ran with an optical cord but want to make sure its compatable

The AV1 and AV4 inputs to the Yamaha have optical ports -- https/www.avgearshop.com/media/catalog/product/y/h/yht-494-gallery-3.jpg You can use an optical output from the TV to the Yamaha.
