Solution A A americanaudiophile Jul 2, 2015 If the subwoofer is powered from the soundbar then regular speaker wire is fine. If the subwoofer is self powered (has an ac cord) then you should use audio interconnect cable. If the sub connection has an RCA plug at the sub you can use a female to female adapter http/www.showmecables.com/product/RCA-Double-Female-Adapter.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=446&zmam=49733141&zmac=5&zmas=1&zmap=446&gclid=CNaixOj8vMYCFYMYHwodIRcEYw and connect a standard mono RCA audio cable without cutting or splicing the existing cable.
