samsung tab2 data retrieve

my Samsung tab2 display is broken and now the os is not booting. Is there a way to retrieve the data from it?

I don't know of a way to reload the OS to get it connected to a computer without doing a wipe of the device, but it may be possible.
If you have files on the SD card, you can just remove the SD card and use a regular card reader with a computer to read the files.
