I've had a Samsung TV for a couple years, it isn't a high end, smart TV, but I'm sure it plays video from a flash drive, I've done it several times in the past. I recently got a pack of PNY 64GB flash drives, and it won't recognize them at all. I've tried Fat32 and exFat formats, I'm pretty sure Fat32 is the format I've used in the past for the TV, so it should work. I'm aware devices only read up to a certain size flash drive, but I'm 99.9% sure I've used 64GB flash drives before. The only thing I can think of is maybe it won't recognize that brand, I thought PNY is a decent brand, but I've seen folks say a certain brand wouldn't work on a certain device, but another worked fine. So, maybe PNY brand is the problem, although a device not recognizing a certain brand makes no sense to me. I don't happen to have another brand to check at the moment. Allocation unit size is an option when formatting, but I can't imagine that setting making a difference.. Anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
