My Samsung UA60H7000AW 60″ TV doesn't make the noise/sound when you turn it on and off... any clues?

Take it in for repair?
No sound. Is there a picture? Does the power light light up? Any difference between off and on at all? If there's a picture but no sound I might suggest trying the stereo out connectors to see if anything is present.
What's feeding it a signal? Is it possible that the problem is not with the TV but the set top box or the cables?
