Sandisc 2gb cards how to format

Hello,
on the issue of the sandisc 2gb card. alot of helpful info, but i must admit i'm beyond a beginer when it comes to this comp.stuff so,forgive me.if i follow all the instuctions to mycomp, change format to fat32, etc. willl i lose the files already stored on my mp3? or will it just reformat the disc? i'm very frustrated.

If the files on your MP3 player are only stored on the removable card they will be wiped when the card is formatted.

But most players also have internal memory.

If you are sure that you can distinguish one from the other, the files in internal memory should be safe.
