I have a Fortec Ultra with the Fortec 30" dish and the Fortec LNB that came
with the dish. What satellites can I receive with this unit? Like Telstar
5, Galaxy 10R, 11, AMC1 - 4, SatcomC3, How do you tell if its C-Band or Ku
Band? I live in New York, Which ones would be to far to pickup with a 30"
dish?
Thanks

C-band is 3700 to 4200 Mhz, 5150 LO
Ku is 11700 to 12200 Mhz, 10750 LO
DBS is 12200 to 12700 Mhz, 11250 LO, circular polarized

As long as the signal is QPSK DVB, that receiver will tune the
carrier, regarless of the frequency. Stock, that dish probably gets Ku
band only.

There really isn't much Ku DVB west of G10R, AFAICT.
Since you are in the east, you will probably have decent luck with
some Atlantic satellites.
