Save, Read and Write to SD card

None of the options in this forum for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S with Marshmallow exist on my device. Is there another way to change the SD card to the default storage or at least the ability to save, read and write to the SD card while in an application like Word etc?

The only way to save to a SD card (apps that is) is the ways explained here on this site. You can, however, save files to the SD card. Photos, text files, music, vidoes, etc. Just not apps.
