Malware sites have been doing this since the release of the search engine.

The title is Very misleading.

It's actually what is known as Search Engine Poisoning.

The link I posted actually goes to a thread in the Security Warnings sub-forum at the Spywareinfo Forums (Home of the Boot Camp) which is updated on a regular basis. The newest updates will be found on the end of the thread.

Also many websites are selling free anti-viruses if you do a search for avg first few entries are companies illegally selling free product same goes for combofix and many other popular software.

They are using the google logo. They know that some people are going to click the modified google logo, and so they use that information to poison the search results.

Then I must have been poisoned many times a day that I'm now immune to all of it.

Using a well known brand name to intice is nothing new. The only thing we can do is be vigilant. "Once bitten, twice shy" fits the bill.
