School Laptop Lightweight but packs a punch

All in the title honestly. Need a lightweight laptop for CARRYING around in college. Price is under $600. I need it to be fast and powerful!

Most laptops are either light or powerful, so I will ask, what are your needs for this laptop aside, you know using Microsoft, email, web browsing and play Facebook games ?

My wife did her Master's Degree in Anthropology and she used the Dell Inspirion 15" series 3000 with I3 processor and only weight 5 pounds and is 22mm thick she loved it and did everything I stated above. http/www.dell.com/en-us/shop/category/laptops?~ck=mn&appliedRefinements=1351,101

just to compare it to a "gaming laptop " such as those below would be foolish of course, butr for educational need the Dell15 3000 I3 is powerful plenty and is about 450$
