Hi,
few days ago I was using my computer like usual, no hard load. Then it crashed with BSOD and starting from that time, it shows artefacts on both internal and external monitor. I set it on "Integrated graphic only" in BIOS and everything shows okey. But when I set it to "Discrete graphic only", artefacts come up and Windows won't boot (see screenshots).
Anyone knows what is happing? Is it possible to repair by myself?

Thanks,
Viliam

Hi,

Please do set it's display back to Integrated graphics first and reboot the laptop. Once reboot see if it would load normally, if it doesn't remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and see if the laptop will boot up.

Once the laptop is booted with the error message just press F2 to load BIOS and in it press F9 to load everything to default. Press F10 and exit BIOS and it should try to boot back into Windows. If it still doesn't load Windows try the repair option in your laptop.

- Reboot the laptop and while it's booting up repeatedly tap on F8 to load Advance Boot Option
- Once loaded select "Last Known good configuration" and press Enter. See if it would back to your normally screen.
- Lastly all these steps doesn't work run a Factory Reset to reload your operating system using the Recovery disc if it came with one.

Hi,

thank you for the reply. I can use my computer with Integrated graphics without any problem, the BSOD on boot only happens when I set it to Discrete only. I tried setting BIOS to default and load Last Known good configuration of Windows. Didn't help :-/

I asked some of my friends, it looks like the ATI GPU is gone.
