Screen becomes white

Hello,

I have the laptop lenovo g580. Half of the screen became white and it is slowly increasing. What might be the reason for that? What can i do know?

Please Suggest me.

Try an external monitor, if the picture of the monitor is alright, may be the cable or the screen is the problem.
