Screen goes black.

I have a Samsung LN40A650A1F LCD TV that is 4 years old. It works fine for about 45min then the screen goes black but audio remains. This happens on all inputs. If I turn the TV off, the picture will come back, but then it will go black after another 45 min. Does anybody know what part has failed or is failing? Is this a common problem? Thank you.

Sounds to me like something on the main board. Power supply usually shuts down the entire set. If you're comfortable with a voltage meter, get yourself a service manual, and get testing. If not, you can get an estimate from a local repair shop. New 40 inch Samsungs start about $500, so be wary of spending too much on a repair.

Blew out some dust, gave it a smack. Its been working fine so far... lol!
