Hello I was replacing my HP screen and once done the screen was not readable as the computer started up, but once the computer was done completely booting up, the screen was readable. At this point i was running vista. Then i decided to install windows 7 and since it was not readable when starting up i decided to plug in a monitor. Once it was completely installed and booted up the screen was not readable again 🙁.

is the screen defective or is there something wrong with my computer? Any suggestion helps

If you have a perfect picture on an external monitor, the new screen is not compatible with your HP. You must have the same numbers on the stickers on the back for the old and new screen.

there are a bunch of numbers on the screens, which numbers need to match? all of them?

well here are the numbers on the original screen
LTN1543-L01
6W7GC0715I HOB
CT: C390402EE3UW8FP
Thats on a large sticker at the top

On a smaller sticker at the bottom
LJ96-02843B
LTN154X3-L01-0006

Any idea whichone it is?
