Solved! Screen wont work

The external monitor works , back light of new screen works. original screen was damaged sent for a new replacement and when I hooked it up only the back light works. External screen functions .Is it something else or a faulty new screen.

The common factor betwen the old and new screens is the ribbon cable. I suggest looking carefully to see if it's it damaged, trapped or not connected straight? An illuminated magnifying glass would be helpful.
