I don't know of any company which has those in their plans. It wasn't a big
hit back then at the CompactFlash times, and now with many convergent
devices, I don't expect many companies will run after this doubtful market.

However, if your Pocket PC has Bluetooth, you can get this Bluetooth Modem
from Socket:
http://www.socketcom.com/product/CM7100-510.asp

Or if it is an old IPAQ that accepts sleeves, get a CF sleeve and then you
can choose the modem from Socket or Pretec.

There is a press release, and an old one at that, not a product. I don't
think Pretec has delivered on any one of those SDIO devices.

I'm with Helio...there isn't a 56K direct connect modem in SDIO format.

It isn't that old - April 2004, but it is no longer at the site
either. :-(

Google cached the HTML -

I *really* want an SDIO 56K Modem too.

Well, at the PRETEC site you can see the press-release, but you cannot see a
product page.

Maybe they are still to be released.

Um hello,
Just thought I would update you on the SIDO modem field, firstly there
is a SIDO modem, it is at Pretec in AMERICA (it comes to something when
someone at the other side of the world has to tell people what goes on
in their own country). Which is due to be released sometime this year
(i will know the exact date in a few days and will update you). Also I
see that everyone is saying they have seen some press release which
says Pretec are releasing various SDIO devices. The only reason Pretec
has not delivered on any of these devices is that THEY HAVEN'T RELEASED
THEM YET!!!

Here is a link to the Pretec website which has pictures of these
products (which you don't think exist):

http://tinyurl.com/6o46o

And here is another link to the UK website from which I will be
purchasing mine.

http://www.jactron.co.uk/

Thanks for listening to my general rambling,
P.S. your dates are backwards.
