sd card samsung j1

My samsung j1 while sitting beside me lit up and said my sd card had been removed and now it doesnt read it or acknowledge there is a sd card at all . I tried removing it and putting it back in . Turning phone off and on but still nothing . Was working fine before hand . Any suggestions?
