Hello,

I have never had any issue like this ever before, until a couple days ago and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. And I am not sure if it's potentially some form of malware or if its hardware related.

What's happening is occasionally MS Edge, Chrome and Steam(the only things so far that I tested) in the fields where you search will automatically fill up with the number 5 repeatedly. Only ever the number 5. The search field will look like "5555555555555555555555555555555555555", and will keep going.

If this happens it happens typically as soon as I open the browser or Steam. Not after I type anything. When it happens, if I close the browser and reopen it will typically still happen. Although, if I unplug my Corsair Strafe keyboard and reopen Edge, it will stop and not happen. Sometimes I can then go multiple restarts and re-open Edge and Steam numerous times without it happening.

Obviously, this is extremely annoying and any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

Solution
Uninstall the drivers for corsair strafe keyboard, shutdown the computer and plugin a normal keyboard.
Boot up into windows and try again in chrome, edge and microsoft word for example.
You might want to call corsair and get the keyboard replaced underwarrenty or seek a better brand.
