do you want? Doesn't matter.

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Meh.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? As long as I can play most stuff on Medium.

Depends on the video. with a core 2 duo and a geforce gt 230m it should be able to handle any video up to 1080p. However the screen is only 768p so you're limited with the screen itself.

If you need a really good screen you're gonna spend more than a thousand. Look at the xps 16 series. It starts at 999 however.

Generally speaking what you're looking for is a core 2 duo at 2.2ghz or better with 4 gigs of ram and a geforce gt 230 512mb or a ati 4650 512mb or better. Those video cards can handle blu-ray just fine as well. If you want 1080p then you need a 1080p display.
