This is about what you'd expect from a bunch of technologically illiterate windbags.

The world's cyber-criminals and terrorists must be ecstatic that politicians in the USA want to weaken encryption.
The Burr-Feinstein bill is the digital equivalent of abolishing the air force.
 
Even if the morons in the inept federal government were to pass such legislation, they'll never be able to get the already existing, unbreakable software that exists like PGP -- especially the slightly older versions that we know were not being looked at as potential government no-nos. Keep 'em backed up, or you may well lose your 'right' to privacy under the overzealous hacks we call our federal government.
