Sharp TV words truncated.

I have my Roku player attached to my 42" Sharp TV. However the words on the menu are truncated.

How to fix it or I need buy a new TV.

By the way, the remote is not working well even I use new batteries. Each time I have to take the batteries out and press power button for 2 minutes to reset it. Now sure they are related?

Looks like your TV is overscanning the picture. Check the manual to see if you can adjust this. Sometimes it's called 1:1 or pixel by pixel mode. The service manual for the TV would have more info on this.
I don't think it's related to the remote control issue.

You also could have set it for the wrong resolution or have the TV image set to zoom or something aside from default.

There's an over scan button on most sharp remotes , Normally marked aspect ratio or a picture of a TV screen with 2 vertical lines & 2 little arrows.
Push that select 1:1 or dot to dot.


It will remember the setting for that input so as long as you can do it once you won't have to use the remote again to do it.
