Shooting a chase scene

I am shooting a chase scene for a video class, and was wondering if shooting in 60fps would make it feel disorienting or add to the action.

Do you intend to play it back at 24/25/30fps with a 2x slowdown? if so, it's not a bad idea. It actually makes shooting things easier since you can move slower than the final intent and ensure safety. In fact, a lot of movies end up doing just that to make scenes seem more thrilling than they actually were.
