shopping help please

so i am upgrading from a 6 year old asus which is finally dying on me (love this old thing). i have done a little research on my own and found myself in a bit of a rut. i was hoping you all could help me pick out a gaming laptop between the prices of 1000$-1200$. i would like it to have an ssd but not needed.

urm wait for the lenovo y50 - its coming in may sometime
the MSI apache's im sure can be gotten cheaper if you shop around
the n550jk on amazon.com goes for $1100 and that looks like a great all rounder
the lenovo y510p if you don't mind a bit of bulk.
a custom sager from xoticpc can also do well.

Thank you for your input. I will probably end up going for the sager sense I can fully customize it
